Reliable and unique in design, the SCS Smart Card Pay On Foot System offers centrally located automated payment with improved cash processing, reduced labor and lower maintenance expenses. In both straight revenue control, or mixed revenue\access control environments, the SCS Pay On Foot System is perfectly suited for high volume 24 hour operations.

DESCRIPTION:

The SCS Pay On Foot System components include the SCS Entry and Exit Terminals (working in conjunction with CPE\APE barrier gates), the SCS Paystation, Merchant Validators, Central Server and optional Centralized Cashier Station.

Based upon the traditional ticket centered Pay On Foot system, the SCS solution replaces expensive disposable tickets with reusable plastic smart cards. At the end of each day, the full card magazines are removed from the Exit Terminal and reloaded into the entry lane Card Dispenser. The use of plastic cards increases overall system up time and reduces maintenance costs by eliminating many typical paper ticket problems such as ticket jams and printing device failures.

Integrated proximity card readers in the exit and entry lanes allow for the use of the same smart cards for many types of access control applications.

Off Line Merchant Validator:

The Merchant Validator provides an inexpensive method for allowing automated validations of a transient smart card. This off line validator does not require any cabling to the central server. Available validation schemes are:
